History of Barrett Group UK LTD
Barrett Group UK Ltd was set up in January 2016 due to the rapid growth and diverse areas in which Brenbuild Limited had taken. We took the decision this year to set up our own plant hire company to work alongside our own projects. This in turn led to the decision to set up Barrett Civil Engineering to carry out all of our future civil engineering contracts and return Brenbuild to do what it was originally set up to do, medium to large build contracts.
The main business is our civil engineering arm, this was established in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire and incorporated in 2008. Brenbuild/Barrett Civil Engineering are capable of carrying out work on a wide variety of contracts nationwide ranging from the provision of fully trained and certified operatives on a labour-only basis to completing full labour, plant and material packages up to £10 million in value.
We pride ourselves on being a flexible and approachable sub-contractor that can offer an individually tailored service to meet our clients’ requirements.
We can also offer the supply of all tradesmen and professional staff to the construction industry.
Our building division is specialist in concrete frames, minor/major building works, refurbishments, insurance, flood damage, renovation and alteration works.

We anticipate turnover in the current year ending August 2020 to exceed our £15m target whilst maintaining acceptable margins. In contrast to many small construction companies we manage to maintain the vast majority of our workforce throughout the year. Negotiated contracts and repeat business helps create stable work volumes.
Our current workforce is split between directly employed and self-employed personnel and all are fully trained and accredited as appropriate to the works being undertaken.
